This thing is awesome. It shoots stunning photography, video quality, and so So SOOO much more. The camera costs a frightening $699.95 or MORE.
Lol, I need a freaking job!! XD

Anyway, I swear that while I complain about jobs and pine over the D3100 I'm doing something productive. I do so believe in asking artists for their permission to post images (of course if they dont respond in twelve months I assume they have died, as cruel as that sounds).

I just emailed a photographer who's work I am utterly in LOVE with. His work is just breathtaking, and I hope so very much that he lets me use his images. I'm always so scared to receive emails back but I love reading that I have permission from the artists. Not only is it professional to do this but also it makes me feel good about not having to worry about angering those I look up too!!

Seriously though, want to hire me?

"The Sky is The Limit"

Today I heard this quote many, many times. And while I heard this, I remembered another quote by an unremembered human being. "Don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon."

I personally hate being confined in something. Hate with huge capitol letters, and I even feel trapped sitting where I am now, here at this desk. I have nowhere to go, nothing to do. So if I want to daydream, I can daydream my way to the moon. If I want to visit Pluto one day, then don't tell me the sky is the limit.

So don't see yourself as having only the sky as your limit, because there is only so much sky, you know? Go an put yourself on the moon, or on Mars, or even Pluto!

At least try.

Online Graphic Designers ([Blog #14] 04-27-'11)

There are many freelance graphic designers that would make you custom graphics online. Choosing the right one for your custom design is not such a difficult task as one might think.

Things to remember when requesting or receiving the services of an onilne graphic designer:

1.Request a portfolio.
2. Ask about turnaround time.
3. Be sure that they can deliver the file formats that you need.
4. Ask about pricing and hourly design rates.
5. Ask about methods of payment.
6. Know what you want
7. Provide a proper description, with colour preferences or examples of designs that you like.

It might seem simple, but these are things to consider when you acquire a graphic designer. It may be hard finding one at first but hopefully you can find a trustworthy designer!

Castello (Part Two)

The Castello de Saint Angelo and it's bridge are two of the most DETAILED and FRUSTRATING things I might have ever drawn.

So much detail, bricks my brick by rafter by scaffolding by angel statue.

My frustration with this thing is growing, especially because I have been working on it for three days! Saturday, Sunday and Monday. If you count today in the morning then three and a half but...

I can do it!

Small pets, big losses. :(

First off, I would like to state that loosing a pet really is like loosing a family member. The worst part is that when you purchase or adopt the pet you know that one day you will have to suffer the loss of this beautiful animal someday.

Many years ago, I would say three or two, my cat Daisy passed away in my arms on the way to the vet's. My sister and I were horrendously devastated at the loss, but because it was literally nine days before my sister's birthday, to help her cope she purchased a hamster.

This little guy was titled Squirrmy Pinacolada Coconut Shmurf. Yep, his full name. Little hamster, not sure what breed, but he was a yellowish almost pale gold, browny ears and had the cutest personality. Feisty, determined but seriously an adorable little trooper.

After a weekend at my dad's, my sister and I came home to see that the little guy had passed on.

I know the horror of having to loose an animal, as I have helped raise all of the animals who have come into the house since three awesome cats. Four hamsters, three guinea pigs, totaling four cats and a dog. Very thankfully, two guinea pigs and the dog are still with me.

It really is horrible having to say goodbye to such a dear friend of this house, and everybody really did love Squirmy. He made friends with everybody, and it will be sad having to break the news to a few people who loved him, and don't know about this blog.

However, recently we adopted a new Guinea Pig. My sister and I called him Mr. Mann.
In my heart I believe that Squirmy stayed around - he was very sick and very thin for a long time - to make sure that Mr. Mann rested into the family nicely, and could make my sister happy.

In addition to this depressing post, my Aunt's cat Sydney also passed away last Monday. He was as old as I am now, 16, and was born around when I was. It really is sad. Sydney was loved so, SO much by my aunt. He was really just... Just an amazing cat. So kind, so gentle. He was always wanting to say hi, unless you tried to pick him up of course but everybody dislikes something, you know? Thats okay...

Rest in peace, my friends. We really will miss you, but I am sure you've had good lives. <3

Assassin's Creed Cosplay; How fast can I get this done?

So in a month (EEK) there is an upcoming convention. For this convention, not only must I apply for a job in order to get mum to buy my ticket for me (anybody want my writing skills?) but I also have no idea how to get my cosplay (or, costume play) in time. Originally I was going to be, like, eighty different things. But now I would like to be my own character.

She is based off of Assassin's creed, so yes a fan character, and has the rank of Maestro in the brotherhood. I found a few pictures of how other assassins look and even a woman who cosplayed an outfit from one of the ranks!



Now, my assassin girl looks more like the image a paragraph below this one, and though that is not my artwork the basic concept is there, except she is female and has a light blue sash instead of a red one. Go assassins who stick out like sore thumbs!! (XD)

The outfit should not be too hard, and if I cannot get this done in time then I have until August- another convention- to get it done, perfected and ready to withstand many years of usage.


I love Assassin's Creed!! :'D

The sad thing is, is that I have to make my own costume, while also helping one friend make all three of hers, make my boyfriend's, and also make my other friend's costume.

I was thinking of making two angels, a light and a dark. Basically The Light angel and The Night Angel. But I don' have anybody to call the Light Angel so what would be the pooiiiint? XD

Shugo Chara ([Blog #13] 04-19-'11)

At first glance, her classmates refer to Amu Hinamori as "cool and spicy" and rumors speculate about her personal life. However, her real personality is that of a very shy girl who has trouble showing her true personality.
One night, Amu wishes for the courage to show her "would-be" self, and the next morning finds three brightly colored eggs— red, blue, and green— in her bed.
At first, she is alarmed, but realizes she must have really wished to change. These eggs hatch into three Guardian Characters: Ran, Miki, and Su. The Guardian Characters aid Amu in discovering who she truly is and help fulfill Amu's dreams.

Now, I've been watching this Anime for a long, LONG time now.
But after I had began it I started thinking, "What if I have a Guardian Chara just waiting to come out?"

In the next little while I will be hopefully designing my own little chara. Even if they aren't real, you can always use an imaginary friend, right? :)

Dangerous And Deadly Miniature Weapons ([Blog #12] 04-19-'11)

This is about a Youtuber that goes by the name of 43287633, who has made many miniature pieces of very deadly weapons.

For example, a Miniature Crossbow.

I built it entirely out of solid sterling silver and 22k gold (except the bow itself and the string which are made of steel).
It is all handmade and is an original design.
Although it is intended as a high-quality jewelry piece, it functions quite well as a miniature weapon and is able to inflict significant damage.

This miniature crossbow works in exactly the same way as the common full-size hunting crossbow, but in terms of power to weight ratio, the mini crossbow is almost 4X stronger.

It took me many hours and countless experiments to build and perfect this mini-crossbow and its arrows. Every part was tested and modified countless times until the optimal technical and ergonomic level was reached, as well as becoming a thing of beauty.
The mini-crossbow was much harder to build than the mini-cannon which appears in my previous videos.

This is one of the world's smallest crossbows.

This is such a cool piece!! This cross bow can also fire three types of handmade aluminum arrows:
1. Basic (steel-tipped) arrows
2. Ramming arrows
3. Flare arrows

I would be running from this man if he had one of these anywhere near me. It can fire at almost 6 lbs of pressure off of a single steel string!! The range he fires this crossbow from desk to doorway is about 5 meters, or 16.4 feet.

The Final Product- Musical Note Chair

Here today we see the finished product to my Foolish playing around in "Sketch Up" oh-so-many posts ago, however above you see a full shadowed rendition of it. I'm making you wait. I quite love how it came out actually! I started out the project thinking, "how do I make a chair to show my personality?!" And when the thought struck me, I knew it would be the right one.

But see, a Music note, how does this represent me? I started off designing with "I dont really want a chair, but more a sofa." The sofa would stand at 1.5 - 1.2 meters high, and would be about eight feet long, seven wide. If it had been seven or eight meters long, my house would be done for if I ever ordered this... o.o









This chair really follows my inner personality. I love to listen to music, and it is like a drug to me. I just have to find the right kind of tunes to listen to and I'm good. What intrigued me about using foam-cor is that it is entirely white, unless you mark it with something or bend it (like I kind of marked it up with pencil... Oops!!!). The colour was a nice choice because I always see a new song as a blank white slate, and I fill that slate with what I like about the song, what I dont, and if I might listen to it again. It's nice to have the ability to listen to music on the go now, and especially with some iPods that have Radios, a blank slate is always interesting to keep around!!




Functionality-wise, this sofa/ chair is very easy and comfortable to sit on! It is made of a wooden frame, with foam inside to help keep it's shape and not warp the wood. The cushion is one large piece and is made of a firmer piece of furniture foam encased in a cotton caseing. Also, it comes with i's own little floor. Which is very cute. So really, it's a slightly-curved square when you see it from the bottom or top (the silhouette of it is really cool.)

It would be very comfortable to sit in. Very. I have made the back high, so an average-sized middle-aged man could sit in it and still have his head barely poking over the wals of the sofa. You would sit on the inner cusion, or the outer cushion as it would be mostly plush and soft, but while in the inner cusion you could lounge or curl up and even use it as a bed! The cushion is very long, about four to four and a half feet, allowing you to also sit as if you were on a comfortable floor or cross your legs. I know personally I love to cross my legs whilst sitting on chairs, and if I cant do that I get oh so very restless.



So how the heck does this function as a piece of art?! Well, dear reader, please let me explain! As a piece of art this would be a massive but well-worth investment to make if it ever goes on shelves. Or, erm, the warehouses of IKEA or something... But anyway! The entire piece would be solid black or pure white. Other colours could obviously be created but it could only ever function as one solid and clean-cut piece. When you buy your own, go ahead and add accessories, I don't mind, but add-ons are not coming from the company!!!

Anyway, I do so hope that you enjoy my piece of art/ awesome musical note-ness. Below I have left you with a few of the raw and un-edited photos of the foam-cor model that I have created. And this is my first time ever saying this but please comment and let me know what you think of my design! :)

Biggest PetPeeve; Editing Without Earbuds

But if you may remember from many of my previous posts I hate when people dont have ear buds and I have to listen to, for example, "Another One Rides The Bus" for a full month and a half. Angerface XD
And a whole bunch of other songs.
And really, I'm not a fan of the screamo-type that other people are playing quite loudly.

I forgot my headphones today and refuse to edit. I hate editing without earbuds, personally, so not having them is driving me up the walls XD

Assassin's Creed Three?!!! :D

Oh. My. Gosh. I amso FREAKING excited!!! I just read this on Facebook and if it's a hoak I'm going to cry my little heart out. ;-;

Well we all knew it but it appears that Assassin's Creed 3 is definitely in production and as a result we could be seeing an E3 reveal this year.

On LinkedIn ex-Ubisoft employee Nicolas Collings detailed his past and current work on several Assassin's Creed titles one of which was "Assassin's Creed 3 (in production)".

The entry was removed shortly after and Collings changed it to "new prod (in production)".

Poptart Cat! ([Blog #11] 04-15-'11)

I feel like posting today, so I'm going to post! Currently I'm at school, doing a bit of video editing as the creeper supply teacher stands over me..... *shudders*

But recently I found something called the Poptart Cat!

This this is cute, adorable and incredibly annoying all at the same time! Basically the Poptart cat is a cat head/ legs/ tail with a pink poptart body. And as it flies through the sky, it poops rainbows. There's music too, and it is really just a cute voice saying "nyan" to a bouncy - and VERY addicting - song which just happens to be on a loop.

The music takes a few seconds to load, but please enjoy the wonderfully addicting and superbly annoying Poptart cat which has been serenading me in the many minutes it took to write this out. And, by the way, if you can bear to listen to this for five or ten minutes, the song actually gets quieter, stops, and re-starts!! :D


You know, this really has inspired me to try and create something to annoy the heck out of you lovely folks again. I take adorably annoying things very personally and it would be kind of interesting to create something to, maybe, a dancing Ezio Auditore (from Assassin's Creed) to the Poptart Cat song!

Oh, now I have evil ideas. >3

Well, as a quick update, I'm seriously sick! I'm not exactly sure what it is yet, but I think it's a sinus infection. I saw the doctor today and she swabbed my throat. Which left me wanting to itch the inside of my throat for an hour.

I got some antibiotics that taste like bubblegum and looks like Peptobismol, but I have to take it three times a day!! Blah, my throat hurts so much from coughing & swollen tonsils. >.<

Hopefully these meds are going to help me get better very quickly, because I so very much hating being sick.

This being said, I'm WAY ahead on my blog postings so I'm going to take a bit of time off (like, a week) to find some more interesting material to let you guys know about :)

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way?

Tomorrow at school is something called the "Day of Pink". You wear pink to show your support for anti-bullying. That includes cyber, verbal, physical and homophobic bullying.

I have no pink at home. At all. Except for on an anime costume.

One of my friends and I are very heavily involved in the group who is helping to get the day of Pink reconized school-wide, so she knows how important this day is to stop bullying.

Before I left school today she yelled after me "wear pink tomorrow or else I'm gonna hit you so hard!! SO HARD."

Uh.... this is bullying, right?

New York Blizzard ([Blog #10] 04-01-'11)

A few months ago, a man found a small white canister of Film in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. He realized that he would do anything he could to find the owner of these photos. He took the film home, developed it, and after seeing the photos he REALLY wanted to return the canister.

He posted a video on Youtube about his find, and asked anybody who knew anything about the lost film to contact him.

After watching all three videos he posted about this find, I had a very strong urge to go out and take photographs. Unfortunately, Photography was last Semester... So if I want to find a camera, I'm going to have to go out and purchase my own. Well, if I want a good DSLR or SLR.
